Shapes and prices in the case

A Miami proposal fails in a dumb way when the ring was picked from a screenshot and never sat on a hand. The lab diamond rings below are the ones with a shape and a price in the current file. Specs on these house solitaires list E color and VS1 clarity. E is near the top of the GIA color scale, effectively colorless. VS1 means very slightly included, and the inclusions are not something you catch across a table.

ShapeWhat is pricedMetal
Pear$4,60014K white gold
Radiant$2,900 and $3,50014K yellow gold
Oval1.92 ct at $3,200, 2.47 ct at $3,60014K white gold
Cushion3.75 ct at $3,80014K yellow gold
Heart$1,800, 2 ct at $3,200, 3.14 ct at $3,90014K white gold
Round lab1.5 ct at $2,000, 4.62 ct at $2,80014K white or yellow gold
Marquise$1,050, and 7.04 ct at $8,50014K white gold
Mixed1.05 ct at $2,20010K white gold

Carat weights that are printed on the titles run from 1.05 ct to 7.04 ct. Several rings do not print a carat total. Do not invent one from the photo. The marquise pair is the clearest warning: $1,050 and $8,500 are not two tags on the same stone. Ask which one is out before you drive. Shape guides for pear, radiant, oval, and emerald explain the look. An emerald-cut lab solitaire is not in the price file above, so do not assume one is waiting in the tray.

Lab and natural, side by side

A lab-grown diamond is carbon in the diamond crystal structure, grown in a lab instead of mined. A jeweler cannot separate it from a natural diamond with a loupe and a guess. Machines can. The FTC requires the seller to say lab-grown, laboratory-created, or an equally clear phrase. Franky puts "Lab diamond" in the title when that is what the ring is.

Natural diamond rings in the same catalog are a smaller set: three round rings, $1,200 to $6,000, also marked E, VS1, one of them titled at 4.25 ct for $6,000 in 14K yellow gold. If you want mined, say mined. If you want the larger look for the money, the lab file is where the pear, oval, and cushion sit. Chemistry is not the love story. Disclosure is the part that keeps the purchase honest. IGI and GIA both grade lab-grown diamonds. A report is not printed on these product pages. If you want the paper, ask before you pay, and do not treat silence as a yes.

The full lab collection is on lab diamond engagement rings. The buying path, including how to set a budget without a fake "months of salary" rule, sits on the guide pages linked from there.

On the hand, not on a pillow

Pear and marquise lengthen a finger. Round and cushion read more compact. Oval sits between them. Yellow gold warms the stone. White gold reads cooler and is what most of these lab solitaires use. Try two shapes in the same sitting if both are in the case. A 30-second glance under store lights is not a comparison. Look at the ring at arm's length, then close, then next to a plain band if she already wears one.

Finger size is your problem to solve before you pay. This site does not publish a resizing service. All sales are final. A 7-day window exists only for a manufacturing defect, and the ring has to come back unworn, tagged, in the original packaging, with the receipt. "It did not fit" is not that window. Borrow a ring she already wears, trace it, or ask her friend for the size. If you cannot get a size, do not guess a surprise.

The showroom is Unit 506, 7900 NW 27th Ave, Miami, FL 33147. Message @frankydiamonds or call 954-504-5640 and name the shape. Google lists Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM, closed Sunday. Confirm, because two people and a closed door is a bad afternoon. Directions are on the showroom page.

A setting that is not in the file

Custom starts when the shape, the metal, or the size of the center is not in the table. The order of work does not change: idea, then a design and an exact price before anything is made, then the ring is made and delivered. No lead time in days is posted. If the proposal date is fixed, say the date in the first message and let the shop tell you whether that date is real. Do not book a photographer on a maybe.

Insured shipping covers the shipment if you are not carrying the ring out. Once it is in your pocket, shipping insurance is no longer the coverage. Read jewelry insurance and appraisals if the ring will travel around the city before the question. A proposal plan for Miami weather and crowds is on this gift page.

The shop has been in Miami since 2010. The family has been in the trade since 1990. That is context, not a substitute for the price on the tag.

What to ask before you leave

Ask four things and write the answers on the receipt. Is the center lab-grown or natural? What karat is the band? Is the posted carat the center stone or the total with side stones? What is the return rule if the ring is simply the wrong size? You already know the last answer: all sales are final, and the defect window is narrow. Hearing it at the counter is better than reading it in a parking lot.

Color and clarity language should match the spec you saw online: E and VS1 on these house solitaires. If someone offers a different grade at the same price, ask why the page and the case disagree. Do not take a verbal upgrade.

Then look at one more shape than the one you walked in loving. The pear that looked perfect on a white background can look long on a short finger, and the radiant in yellow gold can look righter. You are allowed to change your mind before you pay. You are not owed a change of mind after.

Questions people ask

Can I compare shapes in person?

Yes, when those rings are in the case at Unit 506. The priced lab shapes include pear, radiant, oval, cushion, heart, round, marquise, and mixed. Call 954-504-5640 so the two you want are both out.

Do the rings come with certificates?

Grading reports are not printed on the product pages. If a GIA or IGI report matters, ask before you buy. Do not assume the box includes one.

Can I book a private appointment?

Call 954-504-5640 or message @frankydiamonds and say you want a ring appointment. Google lists Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM, closed Sunday. Confirm the day. This page does not promise a private room.
