Diamond Rings: Lab and Natural Engagement Rings, Bands and Men's Rings
Franky Diamonds' rings fall into three groups: house engagement rings with lab-grown or natural diamonds graded E color and VS1 clarity, mostly in 14K gold; women's diamond rings and stackers in 14K gold from $495; and men's 10K gold pavé signets and bands with 2 to 7 carats of diamonds. Every listing states stone origin, carat weight and gold.

Shape and carat
Shape sets the look; carat sets the size. Round sparkles most. Oval and pear look larger for their weight because they are long. Emerald shows clarity, radiant hides it. Our house inventory covers round, oval, pear, emerald, radiant, heart, marquise and cushion.
Two weights appear on many listings. The center weight is the main stone. The total weight adds every side stone. A ring titled 4.62 ct is a total weight. For how each size looks on a hand, see carat size on the hand.
Color and clarity: E and VS1 in plain words
Every house ring is graded E color, VS1 clarity. In plain words: E is the second-whitest grade on GIA's D-to-Z color scale, so the diamond looks icy white even next to white paper. VS1 means the diamond has small inclusions that a trained grader finds with effort under 10x magnification; with the naked eye it looks clean.
That combination sits near the top of what most buyers ever need. Going to D or to VVS raises the price for a difference you cannot see on the hand. The VS1 clarity explainer goes deeper.
Lab or natural
Both are real diamond. Lab-grown stones cost much less per carat; natural stones are rarer and hold more resale value. The FTC requires lab diamonds to be labeled as lab-grown, and our listings name the origin on every piece. A real example from the current case: Round Lab Diamond Ring 4.62 ct, 14K Yellow Gold ($2,800) next to Round Natural Diamond Ring 4.25 ct, 14K Yellow Gold ($6,000). Similar total weight, similar look, more than double the price for natural. The lab diamond engagement ring guide explains when each makes sense.
Setting and metal
Most house engagement rings are 14K gold. 14K is 58.3% gold and harder than 18K, so prongs hold their shape on a hand that works. A few pieces are 10K, 18K or platinum; the listing says which. Yellow gold makes an E color diamond look whiter by contrast; white gold matches it. Women's fashion rings are made to order in yellow, white or rose gold.

Paperwork and appraisal
Each house ring lists its color and clarity grades. Grading reports vary by piece, so ask about the paperwork for the exact ring you want before you pay. An independent appraisal for insurance is always your right, and every order we ship goes out insured.
