Diamond Stud Earrings
Diamond studs are one diamond, or one tight cluster, on a post that sits flat on the lobe. In this case the stud group is 59 diamond earrings from $349 to $4,115, and two of them are true solitaires: Spark at $740 and Opera at $1,000. A few hoops share the same internal tag, so read the title. For daily wear, most people shop between half a carat and one carat total for the pair, and a screw back is the safer close once the stones get heavy.

Solitaires versus clusters on a post
A classic stud is one stone, one post, no drop. The catalog's stud group is wider than that sentence. It includes solitaires, round clusters, shaped motifs and a handful of hoops that were tagged with the studs label. Shop the title, not the tag alone.
| Kind | Listing | Price | How it sits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small diamond pair | Flora Earrings | $349 | Low on the lobe |
| One-stone stud | Spark Diamond Solitaire Earrings | $740 | Single diamond per ear |
| Larger solitaire | Opera Diamond Solitaire Earrings | $1,000 | Single diamond, higher price |
| Round cluster | Round Cluster Earrings | $600 | Several stones, still flat |
The two solitaires are the cleanest match for the phrase "diamond studs." Neither title prints carat weight. If you are choosing between Spark and Opera, ask for the carat, color and clarity of each rather than assuming the $260 gap is only size. The full earring wall is diamond and gold earrings, and the written size guide is the diamond stud guide.
Total carat weight for a pair
CTW adds both ears. A pair marked 1 ctw is not a 1 carat stone in each ear. It is about 0.50 carat per ear when the stones match. Retail size guides, including Ritani's, put everyday studs in a band from about 0.50 ctw to 1 ctw for most first pairs, with 2 ctw as a clear step up in face size. Face diameter grows slower than carat. Going from 0.50 ctw to 1 ctw does not double how big the stud looks.
Because these listings skip ctw, use the idea as a question to ask, not as a number to invent from the photo. A cluster at $600 can show more sparkle than a solitaire at $740 and still weigh less, because you are seeing many small faces. That is not a trick. It is how pavé works. Clarity language, if you want VVS versus VS, belongs with the stud guide and with GIA's 4Cs, not with a grade we did not print on the product.
Plain studs that are not diamonds, including gold balls, are on stud earrings. Men's clusters are on men's diamond earrings.
Screw backs, push backs and heavy stones
A push back is a friction nut. It is fast, and it loosens. A screw back is a threaded barrel that locks. For a small gold ball, friction is normal. For a solitaire you paid $740 or $1,000 for, or for any cluster with height, a screw back is the backing that survives a shirt collar. The listings do not state the backing. Ask before the pair ships if you want the screw. The side-by-side is screw back vs push back.
Posts should be gold, the same karat family as the earring. A gold front on a base-metal post is a different product, and it is the one that turns ears green. These diamond studs are filed as gold, 10K or 14K. 14K is 58.3 percent gold. 10K is 41.7 percent and a bit harder. Nickel in some white gold alloys is the usual allergy trigger. We do not claim these are nickel-free.
Lab stones, one ear, and daily wear
No lab diamond earring is in the live catalog. Lab diamonds here are rings, bracelets and necklaces. These studs are diamond, full stop, without a lab or mined origin printed in the stone field. Do not add one.
Pairs are the default. One-ear wear is common for men and for anyone with a single piercing. Call 954-504-5640 if you need one earring from a pair listing. The men's guide covers lobe size and cluster scale: men's earrings guide. A 1 carat stud search has its own page at 1 carat diamond studs.
Daily wear favors a low bezel or a low prong that does not stab a phone against your cheek. Take studs out for swimming. Chlorine does not hurt the diamond. It dulls the gold around it. Clean with warm water and a soft brush. Sleeping in screw backs is a personal call. Sleeping in a loose push back is how earrings vanish into a pillow.
What to check before you pay
- The title matches the shape you want: solitaire, cluster or motif.
- You know the backing, or you have asked.
- Color of gold is the color you ordered: yellow, white or rose.
- You are not treating a missing carat number as zero or as one.
- The pair is for both ears, unless you confirmed a single.
Insured shipping applies on the way out. Manufacturing defects have a 7-day window. All sales are final. The showroom, if you want Spark and Opera side by side on an ear, is 7900 NW 27th Ave, Unit 506, Miami FL 33147.
Questions people ask
What does ctw mean on earrings?
CTW is the total carat weight of both earrings together. A 1 ctw pair is about half a carat on each ear when the stones match. Our stud listings usually do not print ctw, so ask for the weight on Spark, Opera or any cluster you are comparing.
Are these diamond stud earrings good for everyday wear?
Solitaires and low clusters are built for daily wear if the backing locks and the post is gold. Take them out for the pool. Heavier hoops that happen to share the stud tag are not everyday studs. Read the title.
Do you sell single earrings or pairs?
These are sold as the listed piece, almost always a pair. For one ear, call 954-504-5640 and ask about that listing. A pair price is not automatically divisible.
