Gold Rings: 10K and 14K Gold Bands, Stackers and Signets
Gold rings are stamped with their karat. 14K is 58.3% gold and harder than 18K, which matters on a hand that takes daily knocks; 10K is 41.7% gold and harder still. Franky Diamonds' women's bands and stackers are solid 14K gold from $510, and our men's signets are solid 10K gold with 3.6 to 16.2 grams of gold.

| Karat | Gold content | Hardness | Color | Our rings in it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10K | 41.7% | Hardest | Lighter yellow | Men's signets and bands |
| 14K | 58.3% | Hard | Classic yellow | Women's rings, most house rings |
| 18K | 75% | Softer | Deep yellow | A few house rings |
The stamp inside the band tells you the karat, and US rules require karat to be disclosed. More in the gold karat guide and how to tell if gold is real.
Gold stackers and thin bands
For a mostly-gold look with a little sparkle, our stackable 14K bands are the place to start:
- Jane Band ($775)
- Five Diamond band ($715)
- Elan Diamond Ring ($730)
- Sia Band ($1,065)
- Eternia Double Line Diamond Ring ($1,825)
Each is made to order in yellow, white or rose gold.
Gold weight: the number behind the price
On a heavy ring, gold weight drives price as much as diamonds do. Our men's signets list it:
| Ring | Gold weight (10K) | Pure gold inside |
|---|---|---|
| Classic Eternity Band ($4,870) | 3.63 g | About 1.5 g |
| Diamond Cuban Ring ($3,885) | 7.18 g | About 3.0 g |
| Round Prong Signet Ring ($5,315) | 12.01 g | About 5.0 g |
| Round Baguette Signet Ring ($8,680) | 16.21 g | About 6.8 g |
Pure gold is gold weight times 0.417 for 10K. The same math applies to chains; see the Cuban link weight chart.
Yellow, white or rose
Yellow gold is gold with silver and copper. White gold adds whiter metals and is usually plated with rhodium for a bright finish that wears over time. Rose gold adds more copper for a pink tone. All three are the same karat and the same value; choose by what you wear every day. Yellow gold makes white diamonds look whiter by contrast; see yellow gold engagement rings.
Is it real gold
- Look for the karat stamp inside the band: 10K, 14K, 18K or 417, 585, 750.
- Gold is not magnetic; a strong pull means base metal inside.
- "Gold filled," "gold plated" and "vermeil" are not solid gold.
- An XRF test at a jeweler gives the real number.
Every gold ring we sell is solid gold, never plated. "We ain't cuttin no corners" is the shop's rule, and it starts with the metal.
Plain gold or diamond-set
A plain gold band is the simplest ring there is: no stones to check, nothing to snag, easy to polish. A gold band with small diamonds adds sparkle with almost no extra upkeep, because the stones sit low and flush. A gold signet with a pavé face is the statement version. Our catalog leans toward diamond-set gold rings; for a plain band in your karat and width, ask about custom work, where you approve the design and exact price before anything is made.
How gold prices move ring prices
Gold is priced by the troy ounce, 31.1 grams, and its market price changes every day. A heavy ring with 15 grams of 10K gold holds about 6.3 grams of pure gold, so a big swing in the gold market moves its price. A thin 14K band holds a gram or two, so labor and diamonds matter more than the gold price. That is why heavy men's rings track the gold market more closely than women's stackers do.
Gold rings for men and women
Men usually choose wider, heavier rings in 10K or 14K, where gold weight is part of the look; our signets run 11 to 16 grams. Women more often choose thin 14K bands that stack, where the gold is a frame for small diamonds. Both are solid gold, both are stamped with their karat, and both clean the same way: warm soapy water, a soft cloth, and an occasional polish.
Care and size
Clean gold with warm soapy water and a soft cloth; skip toothpaste and baking soda, which scratch. 14K and 10K resist dents better than 18K. Ring size is not a menu choice on our product pages, so call 954-504-5640 to confirm sizing before you order. All sales are final, so measure first. Try rings on at 7900 NW 27th Ave, Unit 506, Miami. Questions people ask
Are your gold rings lab-grown or natural?
Gold is gold. For the diamonds on our gold rings, every house ring states lab or natural; made-to-order fashion rings list their stones as diamonds, and we confirm origin on request.
Do gold rings come with a certificate?
Gold rings carry a karat stamp, which is the legal disclosure of gold content. Diamond paperwork varies by ring; ask about the exact piece.
Can the ring be resized?
Resizing is not part of our published policies. Confirm the size with us before you order, since all sales are final.
Can I see gold rings in person in Miami?
Yes, at 7900 NW 27th Ave, Unit 506, Miami. Call 954-504-5640 first.
