Lab Diamond Jewelry: Necklaces, Bracelets and Rings in Real Gold
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds made in a lab, with the same carbon crystal and hardness as mined stones. Under FTC rules they must be clearly labeled lab-grown, and Franky Diamonds labels every one. Our lab pieces include tennis-style necklaces from 6 to 30 carats, bracelets up to 26.6 carats and E color, VS1 engagement rings.

Full detail in lab vs natural diamonds and are lab diamonds real.
Why lab diamonds suit big pieces
A 30 ct tennis necklace in natural diamonds is a six-figure purchase for most grades. In lab-grown it is $8,950 in our case. That is the real reason lab diamonds changed the jewelry business: they made the iced-out look, the multi-carat ring and the full tennis line affordable without fakes. Prices have dropped sharply since 2020, so check diamond prices in 2026 before you compare quotes.
How the FTC rules protect you
Since the 2018 revision of the FTC Jewelry Guides, a lab diamond is legally a diamond, but a seller may not call it natural, real or genuine without saying lab-grown, and may not call it synthetic in a way that suggests it is fake. If a listing says only "diamond" on a big piece at a surprising price, ask which it is. Ours say it on the title.
Gold karat options
Our lab pieces come in 10K and 14K gold, with one platinum ring. 14K (58.3% gold) is our standard for necklaces and rings; 10K (41.7%) is harder and used on some necklaces and bracelets. Colors span white, yellow and rose.
Paperwork, custom and care
Ask about grading paperwork for the exact piece; see GIA vs IGI certificates. For a lab piece in a size or design we do not have, custom starts with your idea, then the design and exact price before anything is made. Clean lab diamonds like any diamond: warm soapy water and a soft brush. They do not cloud or fade.
Who lab diamond jewelry is for
Lab diamonds make the most sense when size matters: tennis necklaces, iced bracelets, multi-carat engagement rings and statement earrings. They make less difference on tiny accent stones, where gold and labor drive the price. If you want the biggest, whitest stone for the money, lab-grown is the answer. If you want rarity or resale value, look at natural diamond jewelry instead.
Do lab diamonds test as diamonds
Yes. A standard diamond tester reads a lab diamond as diamond, because it is diamond. Only advanced lab equipment that looks at growth patterns can tell lab from natural. That is why disclosure in writing is what protects you, not a home tester. Ask for the origin on the receipt; ours is on the listing title.
