Graduation Jewelry Gifts
A graduation gift that outlasts the weekend is a first real gold chain, small solid-gold studs, or an initial. Chains in the catalog start at $290, and 25 of the 46 chains are under $1,000. Puffy gold studs are $325. A gold initial necklace is $365. Skip heavy iced pieces and rings unless you know a size. All sales are final. The year can go on a custom piece only after a design and an exact price.
Pieces under $1,000
The first chain, on purpose
Graduation is when a lot of people get their first real gold, and then never wear it because an aunt bought a width meant for a different life. Start thin. Singapore chains at $290, a box chain, a cable at 2mm for $955, or the 1.50mm Miami Cuban at $495 are chains a new graduate can wear with a t-shirt and a first job. A flat 5.8mm at $2,060 is a gift from someone who knows they want that look. It is a lot of chain for a surprise.
Twenty-five chains in the file are priced under $1,000. That is the graduation lane. All of them are 10K, which is 41.7 percent gold, stamped as real karat gold under FTC rules. It is not plated fashion jewelry with a graduation cap in the photo.
Length still matters. A shorter graduate and a taller one do not share a chain. Measure or ask. You will not exchange it in June. See men's chains and gifts for him if the graduate is a young man who already wears one.
Studs for the graduate who will not wear a chain
Solid-gold puffy studs at $325 are a complete gift: heart, flower, or bar. They are gold, not diamonds. Diamond earrings start at $349 if the brief was "real diamonds" and you are ready for that receipt. Men's diamond studs, if he already wears an earring, start at $545. Confirm one ear or two. A pair for a one-ear person is a leftover earring you cannot return.
Hoops are riskier as a surprise because diameter matters. Skip them unless you have seen the hoops she wears to class. The earring file is large. The safe graduation earring is the small gold stud.
She will lose a back. Mention that the backs matter, and that a spare is worth more than a speech. Insured shipping if the ceremony is out of town.
Initials, and the year
A gold initial necklace at $365 uses the first letter of the name they answer to. Cursive initials are $390. That is the personal gift without opening a custom job. If the family wants the graduation year in the metal, that is custom, or it is the one teardrop charm titled engravable at $390, and only if that product's engraving is what you mean. Ask before you describe a year carved into a Cuban. This site does not offer walk-up engraving on every chain.
Custom means a design and an exact price before anything is made. No "ready by commencement" promise is published. If the ceremony date is close, buy the stock initial. Let a custom piece arrive after the photos.
Spell the name. A cursive initial of the wrong letter is a final sale.
What not to hand a new graduate
Do not hand them a $8,680 signet as a surprise without a finger size. Do not hand them a $15,500 bracelet. Do not hand them a hollow 8.5mm Cuban and call it a starter. The weight will feel like a mistake, and the price will be a mistake if they are about to move into a first apartment.
Rings in general need a size this shop will not fix later. Lab solitaires are engagement rings, not graduation gifts, unless you are actually proposing, which is a different page: proposal planning.
Birthdays later in the year can upgrade the chain. That upgrade is a new purchase, not a trade-in. This site does not describe a trade-in program. See birthday gifts.
How to get it there for the week of the ceremony
Ship insured to the graduate or to you. There is no published cutoff tied to a school calendar. Gift wrap is not a listed service. The showroom, if you want them to pick the width, is Unit 506, 7900 NW 27th Ave, Miami, FL 33147. Call 954-504-5640. Google lists Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM, closed Sunday. A Sunday ceremony does not open the shop. Confirm any visit.
Defects: 7 days, manufacturing only, unworn, packaging, receipt. No refunds. All sales are final. The shop has been in Miami since 2010, family in the trade since 1990.
Other calendars if you are early or late: Christmas, Valentine's, anniversary. The index is gifts.
Say what the gold is when you hand it over. 10K, real karat gold, price on the receipt. A graduate who has only owned costume jewelry needs that sentence, or they will treat a $495 Cuban like a $20 chain and sleep in it in a chlorinated pool. Point them at the care you already know: off for the ocean, off for the gym shower, stored flat, not in a bag of keys. That talk is part of the gift. The chain is the other part. If several relatives are buying, claim the category out loud. One chain, one pair of studs, not three chains in three widths. You cannot merge them later.
A first job in another city is a reason to ship insured to their new address after they have keys, not to a dorm that closes. Ask them for the address. Do not surprise a mailroom.
Questions people ask
What is a good graduation gift?
A first 10K chain under $1,000, gold studs at $325, or an initial at $365. Match the length or skip the chain. All sales are final.
Can I engrave the year?
Not as a walk-up service on any piece. One teardrop charm is titled engravable at $390. Anything else is custom, priced before it is made, with no published promise it will be done by the ceremony.
What size chain for a teen?
Thin, and measured. A 1.50mm Cuban at $495 or a chain near $290 is easier to wear than a wide Cuban. Copy a length they already like. Do not guess.
